A three-person family with no other income who qualifies for the POWER Work Program can receive up to $781 a month in cash assistance, while the separate POWER Caretaker Relative Program pays a smaller amount built around the child's own needs rather than the relative's household size. Applicants must download a paper Application for Assistance and schedule an appointment at their local DFS office, since Wyoming does not offer an online POWER application. Once a case is open, interviews and follow-up are handled by phone or in person through that same local office, which also connects Work Program participants to job-search and training support tied to their benefit.
